Gourmet Foie Gras Toasts with Red Onion Chutney

A festive, indulgent appetiser perfect for Christmas celebrations, combining rich foie gras with the sweet tang of red onion chutney. Elegant, simple, and unforgettable.
Ingredients :
• 150–200 g foie gras
• 1 jar Red Onion Chutney (Jagger Fine Foods)
• 1 baguette or artisan sourdough, sliced into 12–18 toasts
• Butter (optional)
• Flaky sea salt
• Cracked black pepper
• Fresh thyme or micro herbs (optional)
Instructions :
1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Slice the bread and place the pieces on a baking tray.
2.Toast for 6–8 minutes until golden. You can lightly butter them before toasting if desired.
3.Place a slice of foie gras on each warm toast.
4.Add a small spoon of Red Onion Chutney on top of the foie gras.
5.Finish with a pinch of sea salt, black pepper, and a few thyme leaves or micro herbs.
Serving suggestion :
Serve immediately while the toast is still slightly warm. This recipe pairs well with champagne or sweet wine.
